This is Jim's class with 6 of his students, they are all busy speaking English.

This is a picture of Colleen's classroom and as you can see she is very busy. Actually she is just relaxing before classes start in the morning. Our classrooms are more spacious this term and much brighter.

The smoked turkey legs were excellent also and I just couldn't resist. I remembered them from the spring so I kept my open for the stand. I had to wait in line for half an hour but it was worth it.

We had some of that good pizza that we had last year and it was still very good. Japanese really seem to enjoy Italian food.

Some of the leaves are just starting to change color now, the leaves are most brilliant in the month of November.

They dig deep trenches between the rows of onions and build up the soil around the plants. This is why you will see these long white stems in the stores, they can be up to 2-3 feet long.

There are still lots of vegetables in the gardens here in Japan and in fact they are still planting. They love their onions as you can see and there is lettuce in the foreground.

Last Sunday the locals were all out cleaning the streets, it was some kind of green day and the whole neighborhood was busy. This was taken from the busstop where we catch the bus to the university every morning.

I was at the front of the ride on Slash Mountain and I took this picture just as we were headed straight down at the end of the ride. This was taken a couple of seconds before I got quite wet. There was a bit a breeze that day and I soon dried off.

This is a picture of the entire group just outside the gates to Disneyland. It was very crowded this time and we has to wait a long time to get on the rides, it was still an enjoyable time.

The students love to get their pictures taken. We gathered near the gate to wait for everyone to arrive. These four are Jim's students.

Part of our job description at this university is to attend Disneyland with the students. I know it is a tough job but somebody has to do it. This term there were only fifteen students and six teachers so we split into two groups. The picture shows us entering Disneyland at around 9:00 am. It was a cool day but pleasant and no rain all day.

We were walking home from the park on the weekend and we came across this silk shop. These are cocoons of the silk worms in the window.

This is our staffroom at the university and it is also used as a classroom parttime. There are 8 staff members at Seitoku university, four from England, one from Ireland, one from U.S. and two from Canada.

The two at the end of the table are our instructors and are volunteers. The lady teaches the Hiragana and some vocabulary but goes much too fast for us. The man teaches more of the grammar and sentence structure and goes more at our pace. There are six classes going on in the room at the same time so it is sometimes difficult to hear the instructors. There are students from India , Sri Lanka, Phillipines, Thailand, Pakistan, England, Ireland, U. S. and Canada in our class.

This is at our Tuesday night Japanese lesson. After class we go here for 2 hours to try to learn this language. It is actually starting to come a bit now although we still know very little

Because it was the middle of October, Disneyland was entirely decorated for a Halloween theme, including the parade. The grounds are extremely well kept.

On the weekend we went to a park near our place. This is an example of the housing that was used many centuries before. They are like our native teepees but are thatched.

Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves to realize that we are actually over here in Japan getting paid for something we really enjoy.

This is a view of the park from the shelter, it was in the mid 2o's on this day. It is so great to have a park so near to us.

This is one of the shelters in the park and may be where we will hold our Bible study but we haven't confirmed that yet.

These are some of the flowers that are blooming at the park. Everything is so lush right now and the trees are so green and full.

Ikue is a friend that went to the park with us, she is on staff of the company we work for. She speaks English very well and so is a great interpreter.
